I recently turned in my final portfolio for AP art and overall, this might’ve been my most challenging encounter with art yet. For some background knowledge, an AP 2-D art portfolio consists of 15 handmade works that revolve around a single inquiry question or theme. Along with these arts, you must turn in 5 of your best artworks from the past years and complete two pieces of written evidence describing your work. Now, 15 drawings may sound like a lot. And it is. But the good thing about art teachers is that they give you deadlines for each work, helping you pace yourself correctly to complete everything on time. Though if I had to give advice for this course, I’d say to not be afraid when asking for help. Whether it’s help on a achieving a certain art style or just being confused about where to place your art. Because trust me, that website can get confusing at points and I don’t think I ever would’ve figured it out if I didn’t ask a million questions a day.
