This year I took psychology and it has helped me understand a lot about human behavior and thinking. My favorite unit was clinical psychology because it helps you understand people more. I learned that people with schizophrenia have different types of symptoms. I also learned that some people become unable to move due to something called catatonia. This unit has showed me that people with mental illnesses go through a lot. I have also been able to use other past units in my normal life. For example, my friend always tries to tickle me in class and it does tickle. Now, every time she reaches by me I think I’m going to be tickled.This is called classical conditioning and I immediately realized that’s what happened. I am so glad I took psychology because now I am more aware of people and myself.
