Today the NBA handed Jontay Porter a life time ban on April 17, 2024, effective immediately after an investigation led to information coming out he was involved in a illegal betting scandal. Many NBA executives felt suspicious when in a game Porter played in he shot a three and was very upset as he made it, and that was strange because usually that’s an accomplishment especially for someone like him who doesn’t see much playing time. So the league looked more into it and found out the same night he hit the three he had a parlay for more/less 0.5 three pointers so that was the reason he was so upset, then reports came out later he paid his friend 80,000 to place the bet and that is what led to his ban.
