Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs. I love dinosaurs.
Dinosaurs

If you clicked on this you’re either my sister, my friend, my family, my wife, or a dinosaur lover.

Either way welcome!

Dinosaurs have been on the Earth for millions of years, although for several of those years they haven’t really been..active. Unless you count their de-evolution, birds.

Several studies have gone into what brachiosaurus feet may have looked like, or what many may have sounded like or eaten. Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods are part of the Mesozoic Era, the three parts to the different species of dinosaur. Minerals help preserve what the bones of these magnificent beasts looked like, and although it’s not bone, its still impressive that through millions of years of pressure can produce such beautiful ‘skeletons’ of dinosaurs.

It does upset me that many dinosaur related things are aimed at toddlers and babies, especially because I am not fit to wear stuff of such small sizes. Several of these beasts go under-appreciated, and sets include the wrong dinosaurs from different times. Pterodactyls and T-Rexs did not live in the same time period, so they DO NOT belong in the same box. My favorite dinosaur also has little to no merchandise, and it bothers me so despite their appearances in (inaccurate) Jurassic Park movies.

Did you know, the T-Rex most likely had a growl so deep that human ears most likely couldn’t hear it? A sound so deep that it vibrated through your bones, sending you in a bout of fear.

Dilophosauruses are my favorite fictional depiction in Jurrasic Park, their acid is such a wonderful thing to me, the use of their frills to intimidate and seem bigger also a useful factor in their small size– If the fictional version of a dilophosaurus was real, you would see me riding off into the sunset with a herd of them.

But a Spinosaurus is my nonfiction favorite, weighing over 13-22 tons, they have a bite force of 2 tons! They could walk on two legs, had thumbs, and 64 teeth in jaws like a crocodile.

Dinosaurs have been a special interest of mine for awhile now, and while I have a blanket, hoodie, three stuffies and several toy models of them, I wish for more. I love them dearly, and I can’t wait to learn more during Winter Break.

Have a wonderful hibernation! Chrys out! /\__/\🦖
