Gentle Parenting is the Most Successful Parenting Style

Gentle Parenting is the Most Successful Parenting Style

Many people mistake gentle parenting for permissive parenting so allow me to correct that. Authoritarian parenting is strict parenting with little room to compromise. Authoritative parenting is parenting with boundaries BUT room for compromise. It is the most successful parenting style. Permissive parenting is allowing a kid to do what they want with little to no consequences. Laissez Faire parenting is neglectful parenting. So, gentle parenting and authoritative parenting are the same with different terms.

Now that we’ve established what it is, how is it the best? Authoritarian parenting (strict, physical discipline, etc) is harmful towards a child’s development according to these sources: <3 <3 <3. In fact, even permissive parenting leads to kids performing better than kids who grew up with authoritarian parenting styles: <3. Laissez Faire parenting is obviously not effective because neglect is harmful:<3 <3 <3. However, just because other parenting styles have flaws, doesn’t mean that the only parenting style left is the best… is what I WOULD type if I didn’t have plenty sources to prove it: <3 <3 <3 <3 <3.
