Children Don’t Need to be at Sephora

Children Dont Need to be at Sephora

Lately there’s been this trend on TikTok of parents showing what they bought their kids at Sephora. A lot of these items typically include anti-aging products, skin peels, and other chemicals not fit for younger skin. Yet children, specially young girls, have been crowding the isles of Sephora and filming unboxing videos of these products for recognition among their peers. Now, I don’t blame the kids in this situation. Peer pressure changes from generation to generation and it seems as though chemicals and Stanley cups are the “cool” things now. But what’s really concerning is the amount of parents buying all this stuff for their kids when all it can do is harm them. I get not wanting your kid to be picked on at school, but acne is just a normal phase of tween life. And all that anti-aging products do is wear down their skin’s protective barrier quicker. If anything, the only thing kids should be using as skincare is sunscreen and maybe pimple patches. But save all the alcohol based products for when their skin can actually handle it.
