As some of you may know, a lot of jobs tend to have sick days limited to 10 days or more. But this never really made sense to me. Because number one, how do you know when you’ll get sick? And the amount of time you’ll be sick for? Especially during the winter where flu cases spike and germs spread like wildfire. And now with things like Zoom to connect certain people to their jobs from home, why haven’t sick days been just been eliminated all together? The typical adult usually stays home for about 3 days when sick, but they’re also still contagious during this time too, which results in other employees getting sick and less workers being available. If employers were to let them stay home until fully recovered, then less people would get sick and sick days wouldn’t be as necessary. But that’s just my opinion.
