People don’t know exactly when senior ditch day started but they can date it back to at least the 1930s. It did become more popular with the release of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Senior ditch day is basically the whole senior class skips school that day and either goes somewhere with friends or simply just stay home. But the main thing is to not go to school so that the majority of seniors won’t be at school.
