Kids and Colds

Kids and Colds

As we get older, our immune system begins to deteriorate and we become more prone to common ailments such as the cold. But I always wondered why children get sick so much, is it because they’re small and not fully developed yet? Or is it because they spread the most germs? My answer came today when I saw a blonde boy licking the mirrors of a Ross t-shirt isle. Then it finally clicked, kids are just odd. They eat anything that has a slight resemblance to food and would throw tantrums on the floor of a New York subway if they could. But what’s even weirder is that the parents just let them do this. “It’ll build up their immunity,” they say but yet I have a cousin that’s sick 364 days a year and it’s a Christmas miracle when they’re not. Overall, this is a public service announcement to all parents with small children: please keep your kids healthy.
