The Bee Outbreak at Elsinore

The+Bee+Outbreak+at+Elsinore

If you’ve been on campus at any time this week, you may have noticed an infestation of bees around every single trash can in the school. This sudden outbreak has been reeking havoc amongst classes and there’s honestly no answer for why. So for this article, I’m going to be ruling out some possible reasons as to why this is happening. Starting with reason number one, it’s obvious that’s there’s got to be a hive somewhere. But bees don’t make hives just dangling off of trees like they do in cartoons. Bees can create hives that stick out like rocks around any surface with enough wax and flowers to pollinate nearby. And seeing how much pollen has been spewing out of the trees from the back of the school, it’s highly likely that that’s where the hive is located. Another reason I thought the outbreak could occur is because of the weather. Despite it being October, the heat has not seemed to die down in the slightest, making it seem like summer is still around, which is the perfect time for bees to be out harvesting nectar from flowers. So our best bet would be to wait until cooler temperatures arrive so the bees can crawl back into whatever shelter they mysteriously made inside the school. Now will this problem be handled by any staff at the school? Probably not because nobody has gotten injured from a bee sting. Yet. Until then we just have to wait for them to buzz off on their own time.
