In this post I will be going over a simple myth…that includes harmful sacrifices. I’m not going to act illogically and claim there has NEVER been a satanist crime, but what I AM going to clarify is that it is not an often occurrence. I have yet to see a single case of REAL depictions of sacrifice relating to satanic sacrifice. However, this is based off experience SO I wanted to include something factual. If someone is a dedicated member of the Satanic Temple, they cannot (according to the tenets) harm someone else in terms of sacrifice. The tenets I’m referring to are the 7 fundamental tenets: [This is where I put it into more basic terms, if what I am clarifying seems to contradict the tenets, trust the tenets, not my translation].
I
One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason
[Golden rule, be kind and respectful to others, but if they harm you, you’re not obligated to forgive them automatically in the name of Satanism]
II
The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.
[Morality is above law, immoral laws should be frowned upon]
III
One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.
[Nobody should violate your body in any way. Same goes to others, respect their bodies]
IV
The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one’s own.
[If you violate someone else’s freedom, you are throwing away respect for yours. Freedom to offend- not agreeing with someone isn’t justification for harming them]
V
Beliefs should conform to one’s best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one’s beliefs.
[Don’t lie about facts in defense of your beliefs, and that includes Satanism. Science should be trusted over personal opinion]
VI
People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one’s best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.
[Nobody’s perfect. Mistakes happen, just do your best to fix it]
VII
Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.
[If these tenets are ever updated but contradict this tenet, it’s not to be respected]
Constructive criticism is always appreciated, hate is never tolerated, strive to learn even at the expense of pride.
