I have always found rain to be very calming and peaceful, but other people will often associate it with sadness. Maybe because in media or movies, rain is used to convey the character’s mood often being sadness. But me? I find it calming because of the “silence” it can bring, despite the rain hitting the ground. Let me explain. When I’m laying down I’m my bed I usually just think about things, sometimes it’s stuff that I don’t like, but when it’s raining I like to focus on the sound it makes. The droplets hitting my window and hitting the ground outside are very calming to me. This is why I think rain is more peaceful than sad, and it calms me.
