Jett Lawrence’s 450 career

In 2023, Jett Lawrence wins his 250 SX West Coast Title, and moves to the 450. For his MX debut, he is 21 years old. He will go undefeated in all 22 motos, an achievement last done by James Stewart in 2008. But, Lawrence was a rookie.

Later on this year, SMX is introduced. A 3 round “Play-off” style series. A combined amount of points from both 250/450 class, a full gate of riders compete for $1,000,000 in the 450 class; $500,000 for the 250 class. Jett Lawrence will also go on to win this series, entering 2024 with lots of momentum.

This year, beginning of 2024 SX, Jett will debut as a 450 SX Rookie. He will also win Anaheim 1 as a rookie, 1st in history to ever do so.

So, is he over-rated?

Personally, I think anybody out there racing premiere class deserves some praise, because it is very intense and requires lots of skill. And Jett is winning a lot, so of course he deserves some hype.
