Labor Day is a day to honor and recognize the hard work of all the contributions that laborers have put into developing America. This holiday was started in the nineteenth century when labor activists started to petition and protest to have a national holiday. The activists pushed for this holiday because they wanted a day to appreciate the many sacrifices workers have made to create America’s strength and well-being.
