The Long Walk is a film that released on September 12th of this year, directed by Francis Lawrence and based on a novel by Stephen King. It follows 50 adult men who have an opportunity to wish for anything they want but they all have to walk until there’s one walker left walking and as for the rules every walker must maintain a speed of 3 miles per hour. If any of them are to stop or slow down they are given a warning and if a walker is given three warnings and does not keep up the pace, they die. In the film there is no finish line or breaks, so it is pretty much endless. The reason for the long walk is to bring the United States back to its former glory since it is currently going through an economic downfall and they want the nation to have more work ethic. The main cast of characters are Ray Garraty, Peter Mcvries, Collie Parker, Hank Olson, Arthur Baker, Stebbins, Gary Barkovich, and Richard Harkness. Some have their personal reasons of joining the long walk but the rest don’t say their reasons for joining. This film is one of the best films I’ve ever watched because it has phenomenal acting and it is very emotional at times. I recommend whoever reads this to watch the film.
