3/10 is declared the official one year anniversary since I went to my very first concert! Who did I see? Tyler, the Creator!
Tyler, The Creator is a 35 year old American artist and producer. His recent tour, the CHROMAKOPIA tour set sail February 4th, 2024. I had been a fan of him for a few years now, and I begged my mom to let me see him. To this day, I still don’t know how she agreed, but she let me see him just days before he came to San Diego!! It was more of an impulse purchase, but I couldn’t be happier.
The thing was, my mom really didn’t want to see him. (Genre differences, she didn’t like the type of music he played.) So, I got to invite a friend. Luckily, my goat (Sophie) was available to see him on a whim on a school night! So, we got the tickets, and the countdown began.
Days quickly passed, and it was FINALLY the tenth. I was ecstatic, counting down the seconds before we got to leave. Unfortunately, we had to miss the supporting acts due to traffic but got there just in time for Tyler!
There were some complications because of seats, but Sophie and I got to our seats and oh my goodness. That was the best night of my life. I have so many clips, I was singing and screaming my heart out.
Hearing Chromakopia live was one of the best things ever to happen to me, and I have to give props to my mom for it. (It was an early birthday present!)
Sometimes I look back at my videos and remember how much fun I had. Hopefully the next time he goes on tour I can go again! This time, with a friend I almost went with but couldn’t because she actually got tickets with her sister for LA! Oh well. To be continued…
