Drake Maye is behind Matthew Stafford in the NFL MVP discussion, Drake Maye this season has a 72 percent completion rate, with 31 touchdowns to 8 interceptions, for 4,394 yards. This is compared to Matthew Stafford where this is his best season in 17 years. Stafford leads Maye in touchdowns and they are tied in interceptions, but Maye leads in yards, and this is only Drake Maye’s 2nd season in the NFL.
Drake Maye does deserve some attention but Stafford has more touchdowns and yards. However, Stafford does have the best receivers in Davante Adams and Puka Nacua, while Maye only has Stefon Diggs.
I do believe it will go to Matthew Stafford based on these reasons–he’s older, he has more touchdowns and yards.
