TOMODACHI LIFE. A simulation game where you take care of little characters that you create called Miis.
A basic cozy sim game, sure, but it’s what the people have been waiting for. What I’VE been waiting for… for about 14 years. (Me? About 9.)
Tomodachi Life’s original release came out on June 6, 2014, and was an almost immediate hit. Many Nintendo Youtubers grabbed their 3ds and made so many funny stories and lives on their island that only influenced more and more people to buy the game. In the end, it was one of the top selling games on the Nintendo 3ds!
Nintendo proceeded to slowly shove Miis to the side as time passed, from being one of the main mascots (alongside Mario) to a group of characters on the settings page on the Nintendo Switch. 🙁 UNTIL NOW)
On January 30th came out the direct of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream ! A SEQUAL to the original game! It included many new features including avatar customization, island customization, and so much more dialogue! Barely on top of the iceberg, but these are the few that I’m excited about.
The game is already available for preorder! I have it preordered. I WILL be picking it up right after school on April 16, 2026. The excitement I hold is a supernatural amount. As of now, there are about 60 days until release! I will be updating once I get the game and will review it soon!
