Better Than The Movies is a book about a high school girl named Liz Buxbaum who is a hopeless romantic. When she was a young girl the girl and her mother watched cheesy romantic films. A few years later her mom passed. This caused her to cope by obsessing over romance since her mom was a romance fan. The book starts off with her and neighbor Wes Bennett arguing about a parking space at school. Once they finally arrived in the school, she’s sees that her childhood crush has came back. Wes invites her childhood crush to a high school party. After school, she bribes Wes to invite her to the party with the parking spot and after a while he agrees. So far, I am not a really big fan of the main character, she’s too oblivious for me.
