Franz Kafka was born on July 3rd 1883 in Prague Czechia into a German Jewish family is famously known for his books such as The Metamorphosis, The Trial, and The Castle which explore themes of alienation, and an individuals struggle in a chaotic and meaningless world. His work is considered masterpieces by many but throughout his life he always thought of himself as a failure which is most likely caused by his horrible relationship with his father. Gen Z is heavily influenced by Kafka due to him turning isolation into language and using fiction to make room for feelings that were otherwise unspoken. Kafka grew up Jewish but he was an atheist since he portrayed the universe as absurd. His tragedies happened early on when both of his younger brothers died at such a young age. At the age of 34 he was diagnosed with tuberculosis in his lungs in 1917 and so on June 3rd, 1924 Franz Kafka died on his deathbed at 40 years old. On his deathbed he told his best friend Max Brod to burn his unfinished work due to him considering himself as a failure, but Max disobeyed and published three books for Kafka, The Trial, The Castle, and Amerika.
