For fun, I create characters, well, more like I focus on three. Three charactered named Justin N. Wires, Mark Glassington, and Luis Martinez. For the past four years, they’ve been the center of my attention, getting character development starting at the age of 6 and the ongoing age of 30.
The three have a decent backstory, a plot which could be made into a book, and overall have the basics on how a character should be.
The problem is the plot holes.
I have grown to make these characters to have almost yearly development/ events happening in their lives, my goal is to make them as complex as possible. Though despite my efforts.. THERE IS ALWAYS A DENT IN THE PLOT.
An internal conflict between two characters? Doesn’t make sense why it happened in the first place. Why a character has supernatural powers in a generic world? That can be situated.. why a character is immortal? Yeah I can’t come up with anything.
Immortality such a complicated topic, and coming up with an idea how to fully make it make sense how he (Mark) got it is a definite thought for concern. It could really shift the plot with whatever I come up with.. but I don’t want any change!
Plot holes NEED to be filled for a good story. They’re just so hard to come up with.
🙁
