Recently in U.S history I have been learning about America during World War 2 and I am here to show why the U.S entered the war after years of staying neutral. On December 7th, 1941 on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, when it was just a naval blockade to stop Japan expansionism in Asia and protect American interest in the Pacific quickly turned chaotic when an air raid was unleashed from about 353 Japanese aircraft carriers which caused around 100 to 130 ships to be destroyed and approximately 3,500 total casualties which was a huge mistake for Japan and the rest of the Axis forces since now America is to join the war after a tragic event in American history. Immediately after the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 8th, 1941 the United States officially entered World War 2 declaring war on Japan, which president Franklin Delano Roosevelt termedt “a date which will live in infamy.” After FDR declared war on Japan the U.S government would then create labor camps inside the U.S since they suspected Japanese citizens a threat towards the nation. On December 11th, 1941, Germany and Italy declared war on the U.S and the U.S economy converted to a wartime economy, increasing the manufacturing for weapons and supplies.
