The M2 Bradley was used mainly as an infantry fighting vehicle with a 3 man crew and capacity for 6-7 extra troops. The Bradley has been a staple IFV known for effectiveness and reliability since 1981. Armed with both a 25mm chain gun and a 2-shot tow missile launcher, it carries 5 extra missiles and 900+ shots of both armor-piercing and high explosive ammunition. Early Bradleys have a 500 HP diesel engine while newer models have 600 HP diesel engines capable of 41 MPH on paved roads, with a range of 300 miles. The armor was limited amounts of aluminum and steel capable of protecting against small munitions and smaller auto-cannons, often equipped with ERA for protection against larger munitions. The M3 Bradley, which is the successor to the M2 Bradley, is designed for use as a scout vehicle instead of a IFV. With a stronger engine rated at 675 HP it is capable of going 47 MPH on paved roads. The M3 also has increased storage for ammunition and missiles instead of space for troops allowing for longer combat operations and increased combat efficiency. The biggest difference is the crew size the M3 only carries 5 crew while the M2 carried a total of 10. Both variations have upgraded versions containing better electronics or ERA.

This is a picture of a M3 Bradley very little is different from the M2 Bradley.
