Lolita fashion is a style that started in Japan. This style was inspired by old Victorian clothing and fashion from the Rococo time period. A very distinctive property of Lolita fashion is the aesthetic of cuteness. There are three main types of Lolita fashion: gothic, classic, and sweet. There are also many other styles, like sailor, princess (hime), punk, black (kuro), white (shiro), and even steampunk. Lolita fashion became very popular in Japan and other countries during the 1990s and 2000s. However, by 2010s, it was not as popular in Japan as it used to be.
