The Who are an English rock band that formed in London in nineteen-sixty-four with Roger Daltrey on vocals, Pete Townshend on guitar, John Entwistle on bass, and Doug Sandom on drums. Doug Sandom would then be replaced with Keith Moon that same year since he was considered a way better drummer for the band. Their first song that went popular was their single “I Can’t Explain” in nineteen-sixty-five and on December third nineteen-sixty-five The Who would release their first album “My Generation” which featured they’re infamous song “My Generation” which was a song BBC did not want to play on the radio at first since they thought it could offend people who stutter but when the song got popular they decided to finally play the song. The band was also known to be very destructive when they played live since after their shows they would destroy their instruments and in one instance use cherry bombs to surprise their audience when they played live on The Smother Brothers Show on September seventeenth nineteen-sixty-seven when drummer Keith Moon placed a cherry bomb inside his drum set when no one else was looking which caused permanent partial hearing loss to guitarist Pete Townshend.
